Update:
This is where i admit that finding new bloggers particularly herein on blogger can be likened to "finding a fart in a sandstorm".
I have typically low attention span, an annoying penchant for fine syntax, a stupid fetish for words and phrases that slide fluidly into each other, like a certain silk-laced pink chemise hanging loose after a few naughty glasses, and stolen chardonnay kisses with intermitent drunken laughter on a random London night...
Nazzy's soundless voice is a relatively new page i've been reading lately. I found her blog via the comment sections on freaksho's blog. In my opinion, anybody who comments on freaksho has an idea of the minimum requirements of a good blog, like an uncommon novel that captivates your attention, perched infront of a roaring fireplace, with a certain pair of long pale legs across your midsection, the kind of eternal moments of which holidays are made of, and of which our Nigerian parents are quick to forbid....
What are your thoughts on interracial relationships? Yay or nay?
The stark reality of good blogging is that, it takes an awful lot of effort to creatively weave your thoughts into a good post. Infact the best posts are often borne out of quiet late night hours which get harder to sacrifice - as we all know. And it's a co-dependent cycle of writers and readers, i.e bloggers often write for like-minded bloggers. Heaven forbid one solitary good blogger stuck in a lone nightmare of tabloid pages and unfeeling religious diaries...#shivers.
What are your thoughts on this new wave of 'every blog is a celebrity newsfeed'?
I like to think that my 14 for 14 Challenge is a noble contribution to the longetivity of this blogsvilla. Plus, it takes some pretty good effort to find these blogs! So after all my blabbing is said and done, you need to click here, visit Nazzy's page, drop a friendly hello, and maybe even do the unthinkable - i.e, follow the blog?!!!
After all is done and done, you need the next blogger as much as the next blogger needs you.
Btw....my actual defination of a new blog are blogs under a year old, but once in a while, for inclusion sake, i might just drop a lazy T.Note for the slightly older blogs. And since i am well familiar with all the faces behind those blogs, i think i might just do a comical diss and review session for those ones - after a few tipsy glasses to locate my funny bones!
Okie doks, that's my February 14 for 14 Challenge all sorted, now back to the bee'z-nizz!

Intro: The 14-for-14 challange by Janyl. (Click here to familiarize yourelf with the '14 for 14 challenge')
I recently accepted this challenge to
go on a quest searching for brand new blogs...with the bull-headed
conviction that all creativty is not lost within the nigeria-blogsphere.
And also desperate to prove that, contrary to recently popular opinion,
not all of the new blog pages are uninteresting (to put it mildly). This is my second post as regards that journey.

My life on a chess board
I love the Financial markets in NY.
Especially the analysts who sit behind the scenes, making the magic happen.
I like to imagine that we are like some covert high intelligence squad,
recruited to anticipate a million market activity scenerios and work out how our clients should react in real time.
If obama sneezes, we know how that seemingly insignificant action will affect Microsoft prices,
And we react immediately, like bham!
************************
But here's the problem point, according to my doctor:
You need to be able to disengage financial markets from real life!
You play your life like an unnecessarily complicated chess board!
You expect that everybody is involved in a high stake gamble which you compulsorily feel the need to win.
So you read in between every idle word,
Analyze every meaningless intention,
You give people's intelligence far more credibility than is required!
When infact, people are just...very simple people.
Often without formular, or trendlines,
They are just...people being people.
But nothing is random with you.
So your brain is on overdrive 120% of the time.
Once in a while, you need go into your mind and shut down your overactive imagination.
Just shut it down like an overworked industrial machine
and let there be utter silence in your mind.
Otherwise, i promise you, you're going to end up as a fruit cake one day.
***************************
I never really liked the guy.
His checkered purple shoe laces never match his belt.
And the way he tinkers with his belt buckle suggest some level of sexual frustration
which isn't healthy for his age anyways.
Dude might bucker up under a ditsy twenty year old and cheap viagra someday.
Telling me I overanalyze everything!
You should grow up in Nig. and don't over analyze - see how long you'll survive!
If his life was a stock option, I wouldn't bet half of my dog's lunch on his prospects.
And I think HR is wasting company money on all these stupid monday
**********************
Briefly moving on....where my Ghanain folks at! Deenta, N&Lee, Kojo - I see you doing that church clap biz in there!...This has been my office 'boss-mode' theme song this week. And gosh, i love being black!

Ever feel like you worry too much and then worry about how you worry too much about worrying in the first place?
Strengths that are annoying weaknesses all at the same time.....

Talking to strangers...
Things used to be much easier growing up...
You remember that story about the boy who loved to talk to strangers?
Been thinking about it lately,
And realizing that, living to enjoy the random cup of steaming coffee with like minded persons is not just a simple indulgence we are free to relax into at will...
I am realizing that I cannot live to enjoy talking to...people,
Simply because for everytime you stir a cup of coffee with a stranger,
There's often the chance of stirring something deeper within the soul of the other person
So life gets unnecessarily complicated....
But I'm certain we are not made to live individually or even in remote dual pitched tents...
That the beauty in quiet conversations is an intentional DNA within the fabric of those of us coffee lovers.
Except that my past records do not serve me in good stead.
Like J casually mentioned today that there's a noticeable number of opp.genders with questionable affections.
I ruefully chose not to continue the conversation.
These days I am ruefully choosing not to continue any conversation at all.
At least until I understand if it's only all the world who wear their hearts on a sleeve,
Or it's something I'm saying....
Like a simple story of a boy who lived to talk to strangers,
and a girl who knew how to make the perfect coffee...
"Everything is permissible"-but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible"-but not everything is constructive uh?

The 14 for 14 Challenge: The T.Notes' Blog Sniffer alerts - NO.GO.Believe's cool blog page.

Naijalines recently pointed out that:
Personal blogging is organic mind dump. Space away from the superficial clutter that's the world...reason why some of us love it.
She couldn't have put it any more perfectly.
Opinions, they say, are like belly buttons - everybody has one. In my own opinion, a good blog is just that - a rich brew of good ole, unadulterated, organic mind dump. That's the kind i have been struggling to find until i accidently came across NO.GO.Believe who smartly suggested in one of her posts that Mastubation could save Nigeria.
You might say that i am playing out of the game rules, as clearly her page is not new. She's been on here since 2009. But hands up if you'd ever come across this page? I haven't.
Freestyling from her profile page, J is a self-confessed pop culture addict who recently left the hustle of New York City behind for the hustle of Lagos. I knew i would love her page already.
Trolling through a lot of new blog pages in this ermm...Quest of mine, I have often come across a certain underlying theme of...simplicity??, which i find mildly troubling, albeit unamusing. So, when i came across this spunky blogger who's musing along the lines of...
You know what? F*&k it. Maybe I need more stress in my life. Stress-free living is for retirees and stoners. That certainly caught my attention for a bit.
You know, how you get that good ole-time jolt from reading afrobabe or more recently the likes of crazy Kiah, loud mouthed Toinlicious, or pieces of me...
I can't help it, i'm a sucker for creativity and unpopular opinion in the regular personal/ daily living/musing type blogs. I wondered for a second if i am not being biased in my opinion by sidelining international influence, and once upon a-i have lived abroad, as a pre-requisite definition for a great blog. Then why would Naijawife, NaijaHusband, Freaksho and atilola be great blogs by the same standards also? I just think people maybe ought to dig deeper and give that sh&t some extra good squeeze before dumping simplicity all over the place and going home with a shiny plaque. I don't know...i don't get it...but hey, what do i know yeah..
So, my first blog of note is No.Go.Believe....because i like the way her mind works, and how she wittingly polishes her thoughts into fine wit. I noticed her posts of late have been drifting into retweets and quotations....But maybe if you guys busied over to the page, hit the follow tab, and dropped a note or two...
P.S. If you've got an awesome new blog, that's worth a shout out, you would make the job easy for a brother by dropping a note, and i'll mozey over to yours in a flash!
P.P.S: Kiah and the likes of you, you guys are not new blogs, and if you have ever clocked over 20 comments on a post, you don't count either.
P.P.P.S: In trying to link afrobabe's old blog, here's the first google response i got below. Talk about going out with a bang!!!Salute to the masters of the art!Looool!!

The 14 for 14 Challenge - The T.Notes' Blog Sniffer alerts
The T.Note's Blog Sniffer alert---
So, in line with Janyl's 14-for-14 challenge, i'm on a mission to find awesome new / fresh bloggers.
I will be chronicling my journey as my submit for the challenge. #Cheat!
Frankly, this is how i waste most of my time herein....so much so that i use up hours until it's stupid o'clock and my fingers & mind will curse me if i dared attempt to put up any proper post myself.
But yes, i'll sifting through blog by blog, post by post, in search of those quirky, authentic and unsung pages. And for each gem i find, i will make such a hullabaloo about it and forcefully direct y'all to go on there and drop your opinions.
Note: I have no interest in promoting any page for any awards. All i'm after is...those few good ones...for whom i'm hell bent on keeping their cursors moving and comments buzzing.
So hey, here goes...who know, you might be next.

Who is this girl?
The first one that shows up in the video - the red top and shiny pants.
The face is insanely familiar....
I'm not much of a nollywood person,
And my Naija trip is all caught up in blurred lines.
But i could have sworn i know that face....
Any takers?
P.S...I pulled this out today, because i am determined to perfect those dance moves!
Only problem is, at the last party, i was all up doing yahoozee, until i quickly noticed that is clearly yesterday's dance moves!

Life will be beautiful still / Stars fell on Alabama
If you were to ever stumble and fall off a mountain's edge,
don't forget to enjoy the view.
And remind yourself that somewhere in the horizon, a toddler's laughter fills the air
at the wonder of his new pup lapping warm milk out of a bowl
And the dribbles from its whiskers will remind someone of golden summer mornings,
of sucking sweet nectar juice out of a flower's lazy stems...
If stars were ever to fall all over Alabama,
don't ask Ella why.
Just pull aside the blinds, and let the morning chase away your blues.
Fight for life, yes, if you must - with your tools of trade and a prayer close to your lips
Only remember that whatever tomorrow brings, life will be beautiful still.
Just pull aside the blinds, and let the morning chase away your blues.
Fight for life, yes, if you must - with your tools of trade and a prayer close to your lips
Only remember that whatever tomorrow brings, life will be beautiful still.
So don't forget to enjoy the view.
