14 for 14: Faithless....and Dew.....
Some days, i find it extremely difficult to believe any of it.
When you consider from a rational,
or moderately sensible point of view,
It fails to make much sense.
(But then, what really is the alternative?)
This whole idea of Faith.
Sometimes all it appears to be is a weak crutch,
Cozy tales to make journies easier to bear.
(Like a flickering light to appease the soul through darkness.)
Most days I'd stutter if i tried to explain it.
And the lame'est faithless would crush my feeble apologetic,
to the corner of a tiny defenseless whisper:
(I don't know, I just believe it...somehow)
And whilst some days the best I can do is to keep trudging along,
Muttering my own faithless tired song,
Yet faithfully so, in my seeming faithlessness.
(So Faithless still, there it remains perched, unyielding)
Like an unending glisten of Dew,
Like one certain unyielding nutter of a blogger,
Who talks about apples and crosses,
(One fine crystal droplet at a time, unrelentless, faithful.)
Some days...

Intro: The 14-for-14 challange by Janyl. (Click here to familiarize yourelf with the '14 for 14 challenge'). I recently accepted this challenge to go on a quest searching for new blogs...with the bull-headed conviction that all creativty is not lost within the nig-blogsphere. And also desperate to prove that, contrary to recently popular opinion, not all of the new blog pages are uninteresting (to put it mildly). This is my ninth post into that journey.

I know that feeling of faithless, actually I am dealing with that currently.
ReplyDeleteOff to check out the blogger who talks about apples and crosses.
Enjoy yourself
Unfortunately Lara, I don't have a reassuring response to offer. But hey....but hey....
DeleteTake care yourself :)
Its strange Bro how the best things of life cant be understood with our feeble minds... More like the fulfillment of the phrase "" The more you look, the less you see"" But do we doubt them cause we dont understand them? No, i dont think so... so in our Journey of Faith, we just have to believe with our minds what only we can see with our third eyes.
ReplyDeleteCheers sir, and Happy new month... Thinking about how this year has run makes it rather scary... we have just 4 more posts to go yeah, and the 14-14 challenge will be over... :( I feel sad already.... but its all good.
Very true Duru...very true. And well done on your blog. Notice you're doing amazingly well over there!

ReplyDeleteYou have to have something to believe in, to hold on to, so that we don't drown in despair and disappointment. Faith is what gets you through, what enables you to smile, laugh, love, have hope. In this world where the ugly rivals the beautiful one must endeavor to see life as glass half full instead of glass half empty, else we die a thousand deaths the last of which is physical.
You know that's exactly what i tell myself on those days....
DeleteThat, We simply have to have something to believe in and to hold on to.
Thanks for stoppping by Rhapsody.
Faith Hope and Love keep going..I know sometimes I over do it which becomes unrealistic but the mere fact that I can breath,,,gasp breaths...I have my faith and hope that keep a smile and the going concern of life going
